Kish Lighthouse - Reduction in Range of Fog Signal

The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on or about 25 May 2009, or as soon thereafter as circumstances permit, a new fog signal with reduced range will be installed.

At the same time the Fog Detector Light (VQW) will be replaced by an infra-red detector system with no visible light source.

All other details remain unchanged.

Radio Navigational Warnings will be issued when the above changes take place.
