Muglins Lighthouse - Increase of Range of Light

The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on Tuesday 2nd September 1997 or as soon thereafter as circumstances permit, the existing propane light at Muglins Lighthouse will be replaced by an electric light. At the same time, the range of the light will be increased to 11 nautical miles.
Work will commence on 19th July 1997 when a temporary light (electric) having the same characteristics as the present light will be installed.
The geographical position of Muglins Lighthouse (A 5868) is:

Latitude:	53°16'.5 North
Longitude:	06°04'.5 West

No Further notice will be issued
