The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on 15 July 2013, or as soon thereafter as circumstances permit, the present light at Mizen Head Lighthouse (A6448) in position 51° 26.96' N, 09° 49.19' W will be replaced by a new light. This will necessitate the provision of a temporary light of reduced range for a period of approximately five weeks from 11 June 2013.
The character, phasing, range, and lighting times of the existing, temporary, and new light are as set out below. The arc of visibility: 313° - 133° (180°) will remain unchanged.
