Publication of Notices to Mariners in Lloyd's List
The Commissioners of Irish Lights is the General Lighthouse Authority for the island of Ireland. Advice of changes to aids to navigation provided by CIL is issued through the CIL website at www.cil.ie and by CIL Notices to Mariners which are distributed by post throughout the marine community, to shipping companies, naval and harbour authorities, fishermen's organisations, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, yacht clubs, etc. Organisations, authorities, or individuals not already receiving such notices who wish to do so should contact Irish Lights at the address below: Marine Department, Commissioners of Irish Lights, 16 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office also reproduces details of any changes to CIL aids to navigation in its weekly Notices to Mariners. With effect from 1st June 2000, CIL Notices to Mariners will be advertised in Lloyd's List only in exceptional circumstances, such as selected major changes or special navigational interest as deemed appropriate. By Order, T. M. Boyd, Chief Executive.
