The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on Wednesday 7th August 2002, or as soon thereafter as circumstances permit, the South Rock Automatic Lightfloat (A5966) will be temporarily withdrawn for a period of approximately six weeks during which it will be replaced by a High Focal Plane Buoy, having the following characteristics:- Buoy Type:Port Hand Lateral Mark Shape:Pillar Buoy Colour:Red Light:Fl (3) R 30s Light Range:8 nautical miles Fog Signal:Wave Activated Whistle Racon:Morse 'T' ( _ ) The geographical position of the South Rock Automatic Lightfloat is:- Latitude: 52° 24.50' N Longitude: 05°22.00' W Radio Navigational Warnings and notices will be issued during the course of the withdrawal and return to station of the lightfloat.
