Irish Lights is recruiting for a Monitoring Systems Officer to join the Coastal Operations Team. The role is based at Irish Lights headquarters in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
Reporting to the Support and Planning Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for daytime monitoring, reporting and wider analysis of the Aids to Navigation (AtoN) and building management systems.
The primary function of the role is to support the broadcast of Maritime Safety Information by Irish Lights to vessels at sea. The secondary function is to work closely with colleagues in Coastal Operations and the Navigation, Maritime and Consenting (NMC) department in fault identification, fault analysis and rectification of critical defects and outages in the electronic Aids to Navigation (AtoN) systems, including reporting of corrective and preventative actions.
