Irish Lights is recruiting for an Electrical Apprentice. This is an exceptional opportunity to train and qualify as an electrician with our Coastal Operations team.
A prospective Irish Lights Electrical Apprentice should have a technical aptitude and display maturity, commitment, flexibility, motivation and a willingness to accept responsibility. Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential qualities.

This apprenticeship scheme is an accredited programme and is run in conjunction with SOLAS, Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland. The overall duration of the apprenticeship is four years, providing all phases are successfully completed.
- 16 years of age or over
- Pass a SOLAS approved colour vision test
- Eligible to live and work permanently in the EU
- Provide 2 verifiable references
Candidates must have Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education and Skills Junior Certificate Examination (or an approved equivalent). Previous experience with the following subjects would be an advantage:
- Technical Drawing/Graphics
- Construction Studies
